Historic Firearms Revelation On History Channel About Bonnie and Clyde

It's believed Haliburton has it and dick Cheney traveled back in time to cause the 1906 S.F. earthquake to stop even more liberals from being born.
Well that's the problem. San Francisco's liberal regression took off in the 1930s. Cheney stopped the conservatives from being born.

... interesting how they were just gunned down in cold blood. even the worst murderers get due process. especially since its pretty much been determined their buddy methvin was the guy that started the shooting on the killing of those 2 motor cops ,....

One fairly creatable story I've heard is that the main reason B&C were not given a chance to surrender was that one of the BAR men did not follow The Plan. His instruction were to open fire first and empty his magazine into the engine, disabling the car. Instead he fired directly into the drivers door.

If it were 1934, and I was in charge of "getting" Bonnie and Clyde, and knowing about the "arsenal" they had, and knowing that they would always fight it out, and knowing that they had already killed a number of folks...................

I'd a done exactly as was done.

I'm glad I live now and don't have to make those decisions.

BUT, I'd a kept the nickeled Python as a souvenir!!

in "Going Down Together", a recent book on B&C, and a good one, one of the local LEO's there admitted that he got a little excited and shot too soon. The car came to a stop, he was looking at the side of Clydes head just yards away and started firing with a Rem. Model 8. He hit the door frame and shot Clyde in the temple. The others started firing at the sound of that shot. Too lazy to check the book, but believe that Hamer's pal Manny Gault carried Hamer's Rem. Model 8, One guy had a BAR, one a Winchester 30-30, the afore mentioned Model 8, and Hamer a Colt Monitor (BAR). He also carried a Colt 1911 .38 Super for penetration in this one situation only and a Colt SAA.
As much as they had no choice but to shoot Bonnie, there is no evidence of her ever using a gun, let alone shoot anyone, except those photos of her holding pistols. This book cuts her no slack but points out Clyde crashing a car and Bonnie getting her leg soaked in battery acid. So for a very long time till they got turned into swiss cheese, Clyde had to carry her around everywhere. He was a punk killer who was really good with guns but gave his victims no chance, she was an accomplice who fatalistically tagged along knowing how it would all end.

Wyatt Burp,

I had read years ago ( and maybe now corrected info ) that when Bonnie and Clyde killed the Grapevine motorcycle cops that after they fell Bonnie walked out to one of them and shot him in the head with a shotgun (possibly her cutdown 20 gauge) and laughed out loud to Clyde as to how funny he looked when his head bounced.

This was reportedly told by the farmer who sat on his front proch and watched and heard it.

Do you have info to the contrary?

B&C proved several times that they would not submit to arrest without a fight. Knowing this and the weapons they would have been expected to be armed with I don’t blame Hamer and the others for not allowing B&C to fight it out.

A farmer said he witnessed the shooting, but his visability from his porch several hundred yards from the shooting of the two motorcycle cops was debatable.. According to this book, when the cops rode up Clyde said to Methvin, "Let's take them!" Meaning capture and kidnap them like he did before with other cops. Methvin misinterpreted this and got out and "took one" with his BAR then Clyde shot the other guy. This book never hesitates to honestly show the coldbloodedness of Clyde so the author wasn't cutting Clyde some slack in this instance. But it's just one book and even though I read this angle before which kept bonnie out of it, there's other views out there. Regardless, they were all worthless ***'s who killed a lot of LEO's, leaving their families sad and destitute in already tough times.
I think it was probably as described in this book but don't know where this interpretation came from unless Methvin told it later because he was granted immunity. His immunity was from Texas but another state nailed him for a different murder. Oklahoma, maybe. I can't remember.
