When did S&W stop putting cleaning kits and SAT's in with new handguns?

I have a set, still in the plastic, with the post-war hollow ground aluminum SAT and just trying to date it.

Based on what wetdog posted and my observations, I think the answer to your question is the sight screwdriver with the fluted aluminum handle and hollow ground tip was discontinued around 1987. Assuming the brush and swab have a threaded aluminum base, your accessory package dates from 1977 to 1987.

Yes, and I've seen the 2-blade with different size keyring holes. Most with straight cleaning rod and majority seem small hole model.

Might be difficult to date as knowing S&W, it was likely when they ran out...

Then there's the performance ctr 3 blade black key chain variety.
