As I approach the 1000 post milestone, yet again, I began reflecting on something witty and interesting to post here. This one is only #999 but decided on writing about something that truly interests the masses here and not a special interest group.
I have deiced on a status report on Mrs. Braxton's favorite topic, Miss Abagail Levine and brother Andrew...our grandkids.
Abbie had her semi annual heart cath earlier this week. She is always frantic as it nears, but always come through in grand style. She had a parade of visitors while there. Most of the transplant team came to visit as well as the ICU staff. After all she was a star patient for most of two years at CHOPS. Her biggest fan is one of the ICU nurses, who also is a close neighbor and best buddy.
Cath report will be available next week, but looks OK.
Abbie went on to tell her Grandmother that she was a lucky little girl. She had been selected for her school chorus and was one of only two children from her grade level to be admitted this year. So, she is a happy camper.
Except of a bout of Pneumonia Abbie has not had any serious health issues since the last report.
Brother Andrew proceeded to tell Grandmother Debbie how he applied to the school service club, wrote a letter explaining why he thought he should be admitted and what he would do for service projects as a member.
This is from the kid that asked for and received his own vacuum cleaner for Christmas at age 5, just so he could help his Mom clean house.
Needless to say he is now a member of the Service Club and is very proud. "Not many people are allowed in."
Grandma is waiting for a call back to inform the munchkins that she will be coming to their house for Christmas and staying until school starts again in 2012.
So, for my 999th post I think that I did a better job than ranting, bragging about a S&W or posting something mundane about football or baseball (neither of which interests me).
Needless to say, the Grandparents are as proud as punch of the kids.
We still thank all of the S&W family for the prayers, thoughts and kindness shown to the kids over the past three years.

Good news. YUP, beats a rant by a mile.

Nice stuff Tom. I just got a newly minted Grandson myself. Of course he's 11 years old and I got him by osmosis.

Closing in on 1,000 posts? I wonder how long it will take me to get back to the 8,680 post level again... I ain't that young these days ya know... :)
