The reason I asked is I saw a gun listed as S375xxx. Typo or anomaly?

Typo or incorrect information. S333454 is the last S prefix serial number listed in S&W's shipping records. The firearm was shipped on March 26, 1969. I don't know what model shipped with this serial number as my records only go through 1967. If I had to guess, I would say it is a Model 28-2.

The S375xxx gun is a Model 57. They must have the SN wrong.

I have S948200 its a1947 pre model 10,1948 started C prefix.
The question in the original post was asking about N-frames.
