Is the HKS GL940 worth buying to load Sigma magazines?
Add says it will work with sigma mags. Others say it's hard to use, others say it does not work.
Thanks John

I used my brother-in-law's HKS GL940 a few months back. It worked, but I had problems keeping the magazine from sliding out of it. I wasn't too impressed and ended up buying the Lula Speed Loader. It was a bit more money than the other one, but I love it. Easy to use and it's very quick.

Iv'e been using an HKS sense March. It works fine for me. Just get a good grip on it when you use it.

Heck of a lot better than turning your fingers into raw meat!!!

Just takes a little bit of patience to learn to use. You can get them on ebay for a decent price.

Never tried that one, I bought the Lula after someone here recommended it to me and it's the cat's ***. I can load 5 40SW clips in a minute or so with ease. The only down side is it really promotes excessive sending of lead down range.

I bought the HKS loader, tried it for 5 minutes and then sent it back. Save yourself the time and hassle and just get the Uplula loader. The thing is extremely easy to use, plus it will work for just about any other pistol also. Loads my .40 mags, and loads the mags for my C9 also with ease.

I bought the uplula loader and it loads my single and double stack mags easily, the single stack 9mm can twist a bit in it but not bad at all especially if you have a bench or other solid rest to load on.

To each his own. I have the HKS and it works for me.

Later all.....

The HKS does work well with Sigma if you hold it right & fit the mag into the notch. The buttercreek UpLula for a few $$ more, works even faster and on many more magazine types.

Had one, got an uplula and ditched the HKS. Won't say it totally sucked but it wasn't good to say the least. Uplula rocks, nothing could work better!

First got one and tried it. Like someone said, the mag kept slipping out or you needed a death grip on the thing. Then I read the fine print which said you've got to cut a small piece of plastic tip off the slot divider. The slots are angled. You need to trim the divider for the top slot to accept the flat Sigma mag base.

I got a couple of pistols after the Sigma and went with the UPLULA - much more versatile and also more compact. Better choice in my opinion.
