Hogue grip for m&p .45 FS?

Hey gang,

I'm looking for a grip for my M&P .45 FS and I was checking out the Hogue grips for m&p's and found this one. Problem is its listed for fitting the 9, 40, and 357sig but not .45. Anyone know if this will actually fit the .45? Or does the .45 have different dimensions than the 9/40/357 that would prevent it from fitting?

I would not think it would fit because of the size in width with the grip. But not going off experience on this one.

I own both M&P full size .40 & .45. There is a significant difference in the size of the two guns. Although, I could be wrong, I do not think the Hogue grip for a .40, will fit the .45. But, I have not seen the grip to be able to accurately answer your question.

I decided to give it a shot anyway and bought the grip.

It does fit on the .45. It was, however, NOT easy to put on. I'd recommend a heat gun and windex.

Once on though it fits like a glove, like it was intended to. I'm happy with it. If I remember I'll post a picture later this evening

OK pics as promised

Other mods are the Apex DCAEK and painted the front sight dot red, rears white. I'm considering filling in the lettering on the slide... not sure yet.

Does that grip just slide over the regular backstraps or does it have some type of integrated replacement backstrap?

Remove the frame tool, remove the backstrap, slide new grip on, new grip has a plastic slot that fits into the frame, then put frame tool back in through slot.

Grip is rubber, basically sized between medium and large back strap.

Pros:
Very comfortable if you need large style grip or have big hands.
Rubber grip with finger grooves makes for firmer grip.IMHO

Cons:
Rubber grip will grab your shirt easier if you conceal carry, possible printing issue.
Is a MOFO to take off, as mentioned.

All opinions based on uses on M&P9 4.25 carry.
