Anyone have this sight mounted on your AR? If you do, how's it been standing up to use? Been kind of considering one for a range toy I've assembled since an Eotech is more than I want to spend, and is currently a bit out of my price range anyway. Thoughts appreciated!

I have one on an AR pistol that I keep on the backseat floorboard for road trips. Honestly haven't shot it much after sighting in, but I have 3 other Holosun sights that have been used and abused.

I also keep it leaning against a dresser in my bedroom for a house gun.

I doubt you'll find a better sight for the money.

I've had one for several years. It first lived on my 5.5 inch Sig Rattler and is now on a 10.5 inch Sig 516. No issues whatsoever.

I had an eotech several years ago and sold it because of my astigmatism. The Holosun is much better for my eyes. The eotech was not a red dot, it was a red "check mark" to my eyes. The holosun is not perfect but head and shoulders better than others for me.

single lens dot optics are harder to clean the lens . These cab anf do gather dust . Ilike holosun optics and have two of the earlier 407c-gr x2 dots on cc pistols but a also run a dream plastic cover attached to small braided string then to a belt lop . When I draw the string pulls the cover off the handgun . Today I would rather have a enclosed dot optic and for me green is my preferred color . On one of our AR's we do have a primary arms older md-ads 2moa dot . it is going on 9 years old and is still on it's second battery .

I know the old pa dot optic was a made in china unit . You might check out CVlife optics at amazon . They still have very affordable models with the long battery live function too . For an AR look at 2moa dot . Maybe even a 1-4x24 lpvo will fill your needs . I have several of them a bought the cvlife model l9inked below and so far on our 5.56 ar pistol it been better than some far more costly scopes . the 1x level will give you a better field of few than most dot optics and it has a lighted reticle option in red or green plus being a variable power scope longer yardage shots are more practical . One a carbine or rifle I much prefer a lpvo over a dot optic . Then add a green laser /light for hd needs !

Hope something helps
