I now have 7 various Holosun red dot sights mounted on rifles, large format pistols and a subgun. I have never had a single issue with any of them until my preferred model sight was discontinued and I had to buy the next most similar product. The current sight that I bought has a little CR2032 battery tray mounted in the side of the sight that is held in with TINY little TORX screws with very fine threads, (stupid, poorly designed replacement for the older screw on battery cap).
When I got my last sight on May 7th, I went to install the battery/tray and the supplied battery tray TORX tool rounded off immediately making it useless. Luckily I have 2 other sights that utilize the same tool and I eventually got the battery/tray installed.
I contacted Holosun customer service via e-mail on May 7th and in less that 30 minutes I got a reply asking for a photo of the sight with the serial number and wanting the info from where I had purchased the sight. I forwarded the requested photos and info right away and within 3 days got another e-mail that they would be happy to provide a replacement battery tray tool.
My replacement tool arrived in today's (May 14th) mail as promised.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with their quick response to my trivial request and they actually followed through with the promise of sending a replacement tool. Many companies just never follow through with their promises today.
