Hey Guys....well the Big decision has finally been solved....as you can see by the photo I posted about my new Victory Model coming in this week..(new girl in town)....anyway....after I get it in hand ...and shoot a few rounds....have seriously considered using it as my concealed carry weapon....winter is here and bulky coats and sweaters help.....I need some advice and help on what would be the Best holster to use....I prefer brown leather with a snap....(have no use for nylon holsters)..would like one to carry on my right side...maybe FBI style sorta high.....anyway....you guys get my drift...so weigh in on this and let me know what you suggest...and also.....where to get them........once again.....Thanks doesnt even begin to cover all the help Ive received.......Hans Fischer

gerhard, my favorite since the mid 70s has been the bucheimer concealer. thumb snap and rides up just right. they still show up on flea bay from time to time. lee

Look at the Bianchi Model 5BHL or ask about Lobo Leather, a holstermaker who posts here.

He got a good review in, "Gun Week" recently, and his photos look good. Ask about his Threepersons model. I prefer the version with a thumbsnap instead of the old plain strap over the hammer.

El Paso Saddlery also offers a Tom Threepersons model. www.epsaddlery.com

Or, look for the Bianchi model and old Safariland Model 29 at gun shops and shows.

The various copies of Roy Baker's old Pancake conceal well, and I've carried a Model 64 with four-inch barrel in one under a short uniform jacket. No one ever spotted it while I worked security in a drugstore that feared holdups. Bianchi calls their version the Shadow, I think, and EPS has their Tortilla, as might be expected of a firm in El Paso...I wore the Shadow in the drug store.

If you have a Ruger SP-101 or GP-100, they sell basic Threepersons styles made for Ruger by Kirkpatrick. The cost is under $40, and the photos on Ruger boards look really good. I plan to try one soon.

I carry mine in a Milt Sparks SSII..

I am using a Simple Rugged Sourdough Pancake, with the IWB straps, for my 686, 4" barrel.

Works good for my needs.

Victory 38

I have a new in its original box Victory 38 SN V15385 can someone date it for me and tell me what its worth thanks

I use an El Paso Saddlery #77 Tortilla for a 4" K Frame. It's basically the Street Combat mentioned above, with a thumb strap.

Victory V15385 is likely mid 1942 production. An original box would be very rare. These were cardboard kraft paper boxes for the military use.
Can you post photos?

Hope this helps.

Steve

It looks like the negative was reversed. I can just make out the cover plate seam along its lower edge and top cover plate screw just peaking out from under the holster. In other words your actually looking at the right side of the revolver.
