Holster Advice

Let me know what you think of the Cloak Mod OWB. I had to flip the Alien Head around and although the holster itself was secure--I do not like the design...much to loose and away from your body. Shell was great and I bought the bracket for the mount. We'll how that goes.

I do not like the owb Cloak MOD, I will most likely be sending it back for a refund, on the other hand I love the iwb 3.0!!!! only time I carry owb is when I'm reporting for duty, coming home after a shift, court, or training, the rest of the time I carry iwb, I prefer the Blackhawk Serpa for owb carry, I'm going to see if the Serpa for the Shield 9/40 will work for the 45

The GREAT Holster question I had them and I am sure I still will
My first Choice and IMO is GREAT for the Shield at a price of 25$ for a Kydex Holster is my Jel Tech IWB ,I have 1 for my Shield and 1 for my Ruger SR9E,my son has 2 and I got 4 for the guys at the shop. All love them.

My next choice is the Alien Gear Holster IWB and OWB They also have a Great 2 fer deal.. around 65/70$

Also look into TALON Grip Tape, A good add on for a better grip IMO

I use BlackHawk Serpa for all my OWB needs. I prefer OWB to IWB, and require retention devices...Bianchi also make a leather retention holster.

For IWB I use Stoner or High Noon Holsters.

Agreed. Considering the same. It's only hope is to stick around as a bedside holster.

I do not like it for the same reasons. I love my cloak slide owb and cloak tuck 3.0 though.

welp, my LGS had a Blackhawk Serpa for the Shield 9/40, I checked the fit on the Shield 45.......no dice! so hopefully they put one out for the Shield 45 soon, I don't like any of the other owb offerings

I have seen Blackhawk for my SV40 and like it. I would still like to see how the Safariland fits the Shield 45 but can't find one to try.
