I've had a 457 for a couple of years but have never found the holster I want for it. So, it gets carried a few times each winter when a big pocket is available. My usual rotations is a 3913 or 908 (love'm both) in a Hume 721 OT. However, I've decided I'd like to put the 457 into mix, and it is too big, and heavy, for the Hume; so it's time to find a holster.

Of course, the Hume is an open top OWB with a forward cant. I'd like to find something very close to that, however, I'd prefer it not ride high; that's a big chunk of pistol to stick under a rib, especially when driving.

Please share your thoughts and experiences with me. Thanks.

Mine rides in a Kramer #3 and is very comfortable. You might alos check with fellow member Lobo Holsters....he does very nice work and is reasonable as well.

I'm pretty sure your 457 will fit nicely in holsters designed for the Sig 229. I carry my 4516-1 (close cousin to the 457) in OWB scabbard designed for the SIG 229 and it fits great. I think there are quite a few more options out there designed for the Sig than the 457. I'll take a photo of my gun / holster combo and post it here if you'd like. Just my two cents. Good luck.

Carry mine in a Kramer Fits/All appendix position. Im 6'3" weigh 215. Lots room in front. Rode back-up when on patrol in Kramer Holster Shirt over vest. One on either side. BTW, 250.00 for each, OTD, a few years ago!

Also works well in some Glock holsters.
