Holster for 640-1 -Belt carry CCW ?

Heh. If you're happy with the SRs, stick with them! The 640 will fit, too. And the other thing about having something you really like is that the chances that you'll be unhappy with something else are pretty high. Ask me how I know!

I have an Enhanced Pancake from Lobo Gun Leather that I really like for my 640PRO. Pulls it in nice and tight and is a well made holster.
I also have a couple Georgia Snap 2 holsters from R Grizzle Leather for a couple of compact semi autos. These are well made, conceal great and are nice if you have the need to remove the holster without removing your belt.

You didn't specify IWB or OWB. I use Side Guard Holsters Quick Clip IWB holster for my 642 and it's an excellent holster. They also make OWB holsters. I think they're one of the best values when it comes to custom makers.
I've also used gear by Kramer Handgun Leather, TT Gunleather, and Milt Sparks, and while I haven't used them for snub holsters they all make excellent quality gear; they probably offer something to meet your needs/wants.

I don't even have an OWB holster for my 640-1. I carry either IWB in a DeSantis Sof-Tuck or in a pocket using a DeSantis pocket holster. I've thought about an OWB holster, but the 640-1 is so compact that I keep it for deep concealment.

I've got a 640 Pro and 642. My four holsters are:
OWB - Desantis thumb break scabbard - my favorite. I wear it in the high ride position. In fact, I had the "low" ride loop cut off by a local shoe repair shop.
IWB - Galco Stow N Go
pocket - Desantis Nemesis (preferred) and a Mica
I recently tried a Desantis Flex Tuk, bought from Amazon. Didn't like it as well as the Stow N Go, so I returned it.
I rarely pocket carry my J frame. It fits, but the Carhart jeans I wear don't seem conducive to it.
I like the Desantis thumb break scabbard so well I'd never use anything else, except it takes a sweatshirt or baggy untucked shirt not to print, and I don't like people to know I'm carrying. Plus I don't care for the untucked tee shirt / polo shirt look in warm weather. The Galco still requires an untucked shirt, but rides nice and low and doesn't print.
