looking for a holster for my 40 c ,never carried before but the inside the waist band ones look like they would be uncomfortable. i mostly wear jeans so i thought a *** would be better.but ive looked high and low on the net and really cant seem to find one for the compact 40.i see a ton of them for the glock 26,27s and so forth.so could some one give me some advise as where i may find one at a decent price.?

Not sure what your "***" means but every IWB holster is a bit uncomfortable...at first. You'll get used to it. There are myriad holster makers...a number of the are Forum vendors. "Search" is your friend; use it.

B safe.

Comp-Tac : Top-Quality Firearm Accessories

Good holsters and good people to deal with.

It takes time to feel comfortable with IWB carry. Concealment is an art that must be learned. Your clothes must be chosen for carry and not the other way around. A real gunbelt-double thickness-is the foundation of any successful carry rig and most important. Guns are comforting, not comfortable. Bill

I'll second the recommendation on the Comp-Tac products. Assuming you're looking for a concealment holster, try the MTAC before you rule out IWB carry...it's the best I've ever used. I'll also recommend the Crossbreed Supertuck. It's a similar design and I currently use one with my S&W 6906 and it works great (although I have to admit if the MTAC was available for my gun it would be my first choice).

If you want OWB, the Simply Rugged Cuda is a fantastic choice.

Some find Kydex too abrasive. Smooth leather can't be beat, plus it's nice looking. Leather won't scratch up the finish like Kydex will either.

man there are a ton of holsters out there. i kinda ruled out the mob or small of back holsters.do the iwb holsters stay open so you can re-holster them if you do pull your gun? i got a lot of reading and research to do i guess.

Dependents on the holster, some have reinforced openings, some don't.

The kydex rigs provides some rigidity around the opening for easy re-holstering. Also the high(er) end leather holsters typically have re-inforced collars around the opening. I also recommend that you do a search, including youtube, for choosing the "right" holster. Me, I've got a pancake kydex holster for my 40c from Personal Security Systems Kydex Holsters, that can be worn OWB or IWB. I prefer IWB.

So people have been calling me a Small Of Back all these years. Go figure, guess you really do learn some new everyday. :D
