I am unable to photograph the target pistol. I anticipate many here have similar pistol set-ups to what I have.
***
- Pistol is Ruger Mk. III 22 LR (KMKIII512) with 5.5-inch heavy barrel.
- Scope mount base is Ruger OEM Weaver-compatible.
- Weaver 2x28 mm pistol scope is secured to scope mount base by Weaver Quad Lock® Detachable Rings that barely raise eyepiece bell above rear target sight's blade.
OEM target front sight remains.
Pistol is otherwise completely OEM on its exterior.
***
Whatever holster I buy must house scope within pistol's pouch. I have seen several holster where barrel-side is slotted to have pistol/revolver within protect carrying pouch while scope rests outside the pouch via the slot.
Other than my Mk. III the only scoped handgun I have fired occurred about 1982, an 8-inch barreled Colt Python that a friend had just bought.
So my ability to select a satisfactory holster needs improvement. Pistol's purpose is primarily small game hunting. There is no season for squirrels and rabbits where I live. So I'm a 10-minute walk, across the private airfield, to the "grocery store."
Secondary is target shooting.
I sometimes [also] wear a framed rucksack with waist belt. I also wear 2.25-inch Ranger gun belt with cross-draw revolver.
I'll appreciate any assistance.
