Has anybody out there had experience with holsters for a J-Frame with D&L sights installed? I am getting ready to send off my Model 60 for said installation, but I have determined that the completed weapon will not fit well into my 640/642 OWB holsters without hanging up on sights. As the gun is being set up for belt carry this poses a problem. I don't want a minimalist (slide) holster and nobody lists a good undercover holster for a 2" 60 with sights. All suggestions welcomed.
(This is not a discussion of whether D&L charges too much for their service. I know they are high, but there is a lot of smithing involved and I want good work done, so I'm willing to pay.)

Also, don't get into philosophical discussion about going to K-frame S&W. I have tried for 2 years to find a 19 or 65 for under $700 with no luck. My hands are small and J-Frames fit me perfectly. Gun is for EDC so the 5 shots vs 6 shots is not a major issue. I have the 60 and for $250 I can have the gun I want.

I'm sure most any decent holster maker can make you another OWB with an extra large sight track...I would e-mail or call a few and let them know what you are having done...I would also ask D&L if they use anyone in particular.

I am flagging this email and put it in my projet folder. I haven't sent weapon in for modification yet, but I will get back to you when job is done.

Doesn't anyone use Google around here?

From their site:

"D&L J frame sight machined into your revolver, and zeroed with your preferred and supplied ammo - $225 Three night inserts installed - add $250"

That can't be right...an extra 25 is too little and $250 is way to high to add night sights...

Ooops? Sorry Sip!
I had seen those here in the past.
The only thing shorter than my memory anymore is?
Uhhh? I forget...

All I want is basic black. My 60 has a very good trigger and is capable of better than I get with basic "no sights." It will become my OWB EDC in place of K Frame I never could find. J Frames, as I said, fit my hand better too. The cost is high, but their workmanship is excellent and they tune sights to point of impact for your favorite ammo.

I have a 3" model 60 with adjustable sights, the front has been replaced with a SDM patridge gold bead. Sorry no pic handy. But it is almost the exact same set up as you're going to have done, in fact I think my front sight is taller.

I use a Rafters holster. It works great and they are super quality holsters at good prices. They sew in a sight track that allows for your sights just fine.

Get the sharkskin as it is extremely durable and good looking. I have holsters for my 1911 from them they're all top shelf.
