Hey everyone. I am in need of some guidance. I have an M&P 2.0 in .40cal FDE 5" barrel. I can not find a IWB holster for this thing at all. I have tried the Bladetech kydex holster but it pinches something horrible when sitting. Does anyone have any ideas short having a custom made way too costly holster? I appreciate any help.

I have an Aliengear Cloak Tuck 3.0 for my Shield that I like. I carry at 3:00.

He is talking about a full size I presume. Alien gear makes fantastic holsters from what I've heard.

If you were close to me I would make you one for nothing. But I doubt you are.

Either way a quick Google search comes up with lots of options, mostly kydex.

What type of holster are you looking for? Leather, kydex, hybrid?

Yeah, it's full size. I seen a Crossbreed that may be an option. Leather/kydex hybrid. I'm thinking leather may be more comfy, especially for us guys with the "dad bods". LOL. I'll check out the Alien suggestion also. I have never heard of that company, but at this point, if it is comfy and works, I don't care if Dollar General makes it!

For some of the major makers the 2.0 is still new to them and they will make them as time allows for them to develop new molds. They will do the most popular models first and may or may not do the low sell models...Alien gear does not yet have the 5 " .40 mold to make the holsters..

I suggest you contact lobogunleathers.com and see if they can make you one. Do a search and you'll see that they are one of the good guys and do quality work.

Check out the Comptac MTAC. They make a "slide" version that will accept all barrel lengths of a particular pistol.

I have a full size M&P9 and I use Vedder holsters. The holster is nice. It's all kydex, but you have options for hybrids as well. There are lots of videos on youtube about their holsters. Hope this helps!

Depending on your build, the longer the barrel, the harder to conceal painlessly in an IWB. My recommendation would be to contact a quality leather crafter, i.e. Milt Sparks and ask what they think. People have been comfortably concealing 5" 1911s in Milt Sparks leather for a long time.
