I’m thinking it was made south of the border but I’m not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Fits my mod.10 nicely. Thanks for looking

That’s an Alamo Leather Goods Co. holster with a typical size number code followed by L for lined.

My mod10’s fit nice and snug. There is no notable usage.

I’ve seen them marked for an M&P. If yours nicely fits a model 10, I say it was made for a 4” .357 Combat Magnum (model 19).

Stelzig's was a Bianchi dealer in my time and I visited their shop front. The company has long had a saddlery but in modern times (since mid-1950s) were not holster makers. So I'd say a Stelzing with an Alamo number (I'm taking everyone's word for this) was made by Alamo for Stelzig's. A common practice esp for LEO dealer/distributors. Wolfram built a holster empire on the back of this practice, and Shoemaker followed suit when Wolfram was sold to S&W (Tex used the Wolfram designs AND Wallys' very odd model numbering system).

Red....My holster is exactly like Chattcats holster in every way even the carving is the same, and has the Stelzig makers mark. So your saying Alamo made them for Stelzig.......................................M*

BTW ChattCat - The Alamo was and is still in San Antonio. Last time I
checked it was still North of the border.
