Holster question for my 45 compact

I'm going to pick up my 45c Saturday, so I'm looking for a holster. I'm going to try the appendix iwb and was looking at the Galco holsters, only problem is that they dont list the 45c as an option. Will the 45c fit in a 9/40 holster?

I've tried searching for an answer but no luck.

Welcome to the forum. The 45c has a 4 inch barrel compared to 3.5 on the 9/40. You may have to try another brand if they don't list one for the 45c. Dont know exactly what you're looking for, but DeSantis had a few 45c specific offerings.

I just ordered a N82 Professional IWB holster for my 45c. After all the positive reviews I've read I am looking forward to trying it out. I don't know if it would work for appendix carry.

Check out PJ Holsters - I have one of his IWBs for my 45c, it works great. He can do straight drop for appendix carry.

I use the Alien Gear for my 45c and it's the best I have found so far. They have a lifetime guarantee and adjustable retention, etc. All for 29.95. Very comfortable holster.

Galco holsters will work if its open. I have a OWB Galco for my 9c and the 45c fits in just fine the barrel just protrudes a bit.

Update:

Received the N82 Professional for my 45c in 2 days after ordering. Of course I am in NC so that made it a little faster.

I am VERY happy with this holster. It is extremely comfortable and well made. The retention is great and after several practice draws I have no issues with the twist draw motion. Highly recommend this holster.

Also I have a standard Carhart belt that works great with this holster system.
