I have an original 59, it is the only handgun I own right now. I recently acquired my cpl. I am having a hell of a time finding holster for it. If anyone knows where I can get one, or has tips about best way to carry it I would appreciate it.

Check Ebay, They list holsters a lot for all the S&W autos. That's where I get all my holsters, usually at very good prices.

Just about any holster that is not skin tight form fitted (and maybe even then) that fits 5906/4006 should work with the M59.

Dimensionally, they are not all that different between the 1st gen (M59) and 2nd gen (x59) pistols and the 3rd gen (5606) pistol forward of the grip.

The slides are similar too. A non thumb strap, open top style should adapt nicely.

My preference is a Safariland paddle, Model 568 , I have used it with both a 2nd Gen 459 and a 3rd Gen 4006. It's adjustable for cant and retention.

Try amazon. I am getting a Blackhawk Serpa for my 915 which is the value line of the M59. For the 5900 series you will need:
Size 10 (R or L) depending how you are going to carry. I looked all over locally and within a 100 miles; no gun stored stocked the size 10.

Hope this helps... Oh, the price was about $38.00 free shipping.

Thanks for the replies all. I will check those out. I wasn't sure if the 59 and 5906 would be compatible... I figured it would though.

Any 5900 series hoster should do the job...I have no problems finding holsters even here in Montana. Sig 229 holsters also seem to work well also.
