Holster Question

I have a 4044. I have contacted a holster maker about a holster and he replied asking which 3gen models are the same size and configuration as the 4044. Would a model block for a 4003,6,43, or 46 have the same dimensions and shape as the 4044? I understand that the 4044 is a DAO not a TDA like some of these models and doesn't have the de-cocking lever but that part of the frame isn't in the holster type I am looking at.

Alternatively, if any of you have a custom holster for a 4044 where did you get yours? Thanks much.

You're 4044 is a close match to my 5943TSW, it just has no rail. So any holster for a 5943 (DAO) or the 5900 series should fit your gun. I have one custom made from Lobo Gunleather, check out his website and send him a email if you can. Right now I believe he's running at 6 to 7 weeks for holster completion. I have a enhanced pancake for my Glock 26 and a Standard Pancake for my 5943TSW with rail

GoodMornin - Thanks. I am working with BigRobs Gunleather. The holster I am looing at is very similar to the Model One Pancake. In fact he references Lobo in the product description.

Let's see: The 4044 is a 3rd Gen, .40 S&W caliber, DAO with alloy frame. The closest would be the 4046, which is the same pistol except with a stainless frame.

Oh, I have seven handguns and I have at least two holsters for each one. Holsters are kind of like ants a picnic - they just keep showing up.
