This is what I use for my 45acp 2.0 when I carry it OWB which is rare, I mainly carry my M2.0 4" 9mm compact or 9mm shield... in similar rigs concealed under a t-shirt or I'll go to a crossbreed supertuck if I need better concealment...

My categorical recomendation is a leather pancake ( albeit I prefer with a thumbreak ) .

Safariland 7TS. Assuming you are right handed the part number is 7377-419-411. If it gets dirty riding then you can run the holster under some water. It has a thumb activated retention so it won’t fall out while riding.

Suggest you take a look at the holsters made by Simply Rugged. There OWB holsters are very suitable for the reason you want one. They are simple, but well made, not expensive especially for the service they will give you, and allow both strong side and crossdraw carry. Simply Rugged is an excellent vendor in my experience. They are not bulky and will carry your gun with about the smallest presence on your waist belt. They are very secure without any straps, but you can over them with a safety strap if you need one. Your holster will be built exactly to fit your gun. If necessary, you can contact them by email with questions and they will be quickly answered.
How about because it works? I've used a lot of holsters, I'm not impressed with big price tags.
So when I find a good deal, I share it.

I have recently purchased a couple Versa Carry holsters and find them very comfortable. Their holsters are made from Water Buffalo and break in quickly. The price point is also competitive.
Do you ever tell the truth? You know you just lied.That particular locking mechanism really doesn't have a wonderful track record.

There's lots of controversy over the SERPA holster.
I took the picture more as an example than an actual result of using a SERPA holster.
I can see both sides of the story. I can see where it could possibly be an issue when withdrawing the weapon quickly.
I like it but I think I will be more happy with my new holster.
The Blackhawk SERPA and the Tege are different holsters. The lever on the Tege is positioned differently. As with all equipment, proper training is mandatory - after all, people have shot themselves with all sorts of holsters including nice leather pancake-style.
What I disagree with is posting a false picture to sway opinion on a $20 holster. We should all do our part to post the truth as there are always noobs reading this.

I want to be clear that picture was from an article specifically addressing the issues with the SERPA holster. It is an actual result of using a SERPA holster.
For plastic, the Safariland 7TS ALS models are tough to beat for field use. A tad bulky but doable for concealment. On leather... Kramer, Milt Sparks, Bob Mernickle, EPS, Tucker and Byrd, Mike Barranti and of course Red Nichols are just about the best one could hope for.
But you didn't know what you were talking about.
As I mentioned earlier, the Tege and Serpa are different holsters. The Tege doe NOT have the problems of the Serpa because the Tege is just a better design. E.g. you can pull up with all the force you can muster against the latch and a simple swipe of the index finger will unlatch it. I know, I've tried it many times. Also the placement of the lever is different on the Tege making it less likely that you would ever be able to curl your finger and stab it into the trigger guard when the pistol clears.
The Tege is a better mousetrap. It is a very usable $20 retention paddle holster for the average person - I'm not recommending it to those in the Cop business or forum mall ninjas.
