When Colt's Single Action Army came out in 1873 it had a 7.5"
barrel and, was nicknamed the Cavalry Model. It's one of those
that I got the holster first, and then the gun. The gun is a Denix
replica. Here are 5 holsters that I kept for it.

Left - Got an email from Red Nichols alerting me to this gorgeous
Eubanks cordovan double loop. I didn't have a gun for it, but it
grew on me, so I entered the auction and won. The belt is a
Texas Gunslinger, the silver Navajo buckle by Nezzi, the knife is
a Bear, and the Open Road Stetson.

2nd - Lawrence "Keith" 120B (basket weave) on a Cowtown
cartridge belt, Solingen Bowie, and the Stetson again. A good
friend here on the Forum, IGiveUp, snagged it at a gun show,
and let me have it for what he paid. I was a lucky B... again.

3rd - Brauer Brothers black double loop which, I think, is called
the Cheyenne style? Milt Sparks gunbelt and my Pinkerton hat.

4th - Hunter Model 3100, size 50. Must have been cut-off at the
muzzle end because all my other Hunter 3100 models had the
closed end. Cowtown cartridge belt, Solingen knife again, and
my Air Force Security Service souvenir cap.

5th - A beautifully carved black Viking snap on/off single loop,
with Camillus knife, Sparks gunbelt and my NRA Instructor cap.

growr - I will show it with my 1860 Army revolver. The SAA came along
too late for the Civil War, but it was used extensively by the Cavalry.
