Is $79 really the going rate for 9mm M&P 17 round mags??!!?? Per Gunbroker this morning. I could see $35 each but short of AWB2 I am NOT paying that!!!

GB represents the highest possible price you can get for most things. All the seller has to do is find the one or two people among millions who will pay the outrageous price and then all the sudden that somehow becomes the "market"! GB is not the place to find stuff that is in demand unless you have no regard for your wallet.

I remember months and months back when Pmags were $70+......And now its amazing they are back to $13.

A little patience will save u a bunch of money.

I don't know about 9mm mags. But I can find 15 round .40 mags for $39 all day at a local store down the road. I know its not the cheapest but no shipping and they are there in the real time no back orders or nothing

Thanks for the replies!!

Also, sorry to Moderators about the title, I swear I was in a Frank Barone mood & it just slipped out.....

S&W gets it's mags from MecGar, as do several other pistol manufacturers. Since the "Gear Up" caused by the Socialist in Washington, all the firearm manufacturers have had a 4 fold increase in product demand and MecGar literally cannot catch up. I do not know if MecGar has a U.S. plant, or if everything they make comes from Italy. I think the later is correct. I do know that mecgar will not answer their phone(at least as of several weeks ago), and the statement on their web page is almost hateful about contacting them for information or product.
Methinks that the Firearm manufacturers should reconsider who and where they get their magazines made, huh!

The 9mm M&P mags are the hardest to come by. 10 rounders even worse. It took me 6 months and I ended up getting 4 used ones all from the same party. Just look for them every day.

I just went to backorder some from Midway and it said expected shipping date was 12/31/2013. They were $33 which is the cheapest I have seen.

The fact that you refuse to pay $79 for a mag proves you have good judgment-that is not the "going rate". It is the rate paid by those with poor judgment. And Gander Mtn shoppers

Look around that's not the going rate. Now you know not to shop at GB.

I just bought 6 new DE .50 mags on ebay for 45 a piece after discount. I couldn't imagine spending more than 29.99 for a 17 round M&P mag.

I imagine they are out of stock at the big stores so the auctions sites are trying to dump them off at x3 the value. Some jackarse on armslist last week was selling like new M&P 17 round mags for $60 a piece. Just wait.

I agree that GunBroker is not the normal market value almost everything is priced way too high. I feel I really lucked out two weeks ago and got a NIB M&P .40 full size for $384.00.
I also keep checking Midway for mags you've got to click on email notification for when out of stock items become available .... and then very quickly get online and buy before the go out of stock again.
