Homeland Security getting LOTS of ammo

Thats too much taxpayer's money to spend on that kind of ammo purchase. Maybe ICE has lots of seized drugs and assets to convert it to money so they have the budget , huh.

That article appears to be 5 months old... Some of the peoples' comments on there are absolutely nuts.

Yes! Another reason to give why I don't own a .40

Now if the military could just stop using .223 :)

I'd feel a whole lot better if DHS would use some of it, actually in securing the homeland...

Get it while you can

That article came out last August. I figure they already have that ammo and now you can get yours. I reload and have plenty!

The Office of Field Operations of Customs and Border Protection oversees ports of entry, container ports and several pre-clearance stations. They are not Border Patrol or I.C.E., who also don't use the 135 gr. ammo.

But, there are about 30,000 personnel in Field Operations, and I have no idea what percentage are armed. That comes to about 1500-2000 rounds per year per person, so that isn't so much.

1.) That is over a 5 year period.
2.) I hope they use some of that ammo for practice so they can shoot well.
3.) I hope they use some of that ammo to stop those who wish to harm us.
4.) I'm glad I don't shoot a 40 S&W :p

This stuff is very "hot" ammo, noticeable difference from the federal stuff, not fun at all to shoot.
