Yesterday, I mentioned to my better half that we should have her homemade pizza for dinner tonight (hint, hint). I bugged out at O-dark-thirty this morning and spent the day slaving away at a gun show! Came home with this 1st year Colt .357 (traded a BL-22 for it) and crammed my pie hole with some of the best pizza I have ever eaten (no kidding). I'm a very happy chad right now!

If you care about such things, here's more of the Colt .357. I can't wait to shoot it! The factory grips that were on it are so nice, I had to take them off (too good for me).

I must humbly disagree Silver. I am 100% Italian descent, yet I love hawaiin pizza! Ham, pineapple, and for a real treat, throw on some baby shrimp! Yum, big time!

Of course, taste in food is subjective.

love pineapple on a pizza, along with everthing else they can put on it,,always have a can of Anchovies to top it off

pizza is actual the natural habitat of pineapple. for too long sausage, pepperoni, and various vegetables have claimed the prime spots on our pies. of course, extra crushed red pepper and parmesan is required.

agree,, you cant have enough red pepper or parmesan cheese,,,just give me a garbage pizza, if you have it on the make table put some on

Sorry but you will never see that stuff on a real New York pizza. Every state I go to has pizza places that brag about having New York pizza but none of them do. When ever I go to NY I always bring back $100 to $200 worth of pizza back home. There are a lot of things I hate about NY but the one thing that have that is the best is pizza. If you want to know what real pizza tastes like got to little Italy in NY city.

the problem there is that i have NO desire to go to NY CITY,,,it is oh never mind,,,i just call for pick up at the local place

The only pizza I liked in Texas was near the house I owned, it was near the corner of (route or FM) 105 and Walden road next to the Walmart shopping center. I told the guy that worked there it was the best pizza I ever had outside NY, the guy that owned it said he was from Brooklyn

It would take a LOT more for me to want to go anywhere near NYC.

In fact, I just returned from a driving tour coast to coast and tried a lot of local cuisine much touted and widely praised.

While there are places I'd like to visit again for a longer period, basic tastes really are subjective and can never be effectively argued.

As example, no flames please, I had long wanted to have "REAL" BBQ. I have seen various claims 'pulled pork' and 'jerked chicken' can only be appreciated in the south, much less even obtained.

So I tried versions from Texas to Florida, from Florida to N Carolina to Kansas and back to Oregon.

I don't favor 'sweet'. 'Sweet' does nothing to improve meat, so 'sweet' simply defeats the level of enjoyment personally I can get from 'BBQ' real or otherwise.

Now the basic 'cooked meat' I had in the south was in general very good. My favorite was a little place in Louisiana called "Bad to the Bone"....along with sweet potato fries. Odd place....the "all you can eat" plate was $12. The "Sample" plate was $12.

And I discovered I favor the dry rubs. Any of that wet sweet stuff doesn't work for me.

A little pineapple goes a long way, whether squeezed, chopped, diced, chunked, pureed or juiced. I like it a little. If NY pizza is famed for pineapple, count me out whether it's delivered or not.

in the other post regarding pineapple pizza, you will never see the stuff on real pizza in NY

Isn't pizza like sex: when it is good it is good and when it is bad, it is still good.

A friend of mine that lived in Brooklyn for a year swears by NY pizza too. However, I took him by a place in Castro Vally, CA called Pyzano's, home of the pizza throwing champion (he's been on Leno, tons of cooking shows etc) and he had to agree that the pizza was pretty damn good.

It's weird, it's almost like people have different tastes that make them like different things.

I think a great Hawaiian pizza has to have green (ok, or red) peppers on it. And speaking of things that don't belong on a pizza; has anyone ever tried sauerkraut, pickles or thinly sliced hot dogs (all beef, of course!)?

you want weird pizza toppings? come out here to California. figs, broccoli, carrot, Brazilian chicken. surprisingly, all are pretty good.

one of my favorite local chains: Pizza Orgasmica

they have pretty good beer too.
