HONDA Z50 K1 Mini Trail information wanted?

I bought the fist one I had looked at.

Now the fun begins! Just need to pick up a few parts. Gas tank clean as a pin and turns over with good compression. Need to get a seat cover, key, and a taillight. A good clean up, and I hope to be riding soon. THANKS guys for all the comments!
Roger

We bought a replacement cover for our seat from this company. It was 1/3 the price of the original Honda cover.

Congrats on having a clean fuel tank. Take the petcock out and make sure the filter screen is intact. A petcock assembly is costly. If you have to replace yours I suggest you sit down before ordering it.

Bought this Trail 50 used in 1978. Young son and I rode it for about 4 years. Ran great, never had a problem with it. Top speed was about 35 mph. Wish I hadn't sold it.

That's the 70, had one in 1970-CT70H which meant it had a hand clutch and 4 speed transmission. I started on a Rupp mini-bike in 1968.

Kept the Honda for about a year then traded up to a Yamaha 125. That soon led to motocross racing and being a sponsored rider by the dealer. My junior year in high school I transitioned to flat track on the "Brit Bike Killer" Yamaha 650. Harley brought by the XR750 and allowed some of us 1 "easy" lap on it, that was awesome.

When my younger son was 13 (he's 32 now) we went to a motorcycle swap meet at the big Honda dealer near us. He found a green CT70H and fell in love. We made a deal with the seller and my son rode it for 3 years before selling it to get some money for a car. He broke even. Two guys close to my age bought it LOL!

This will most probably be last year on a bike (52 years on two wheels). Need to stop to pee too often to go very far!!

My current bike from a ride last year:
