I've had my Hornaday GS-1500 digital scale for years , no issues. Now it's acting up-needs replacement. Suggestions for a good quality, affordable digital scale would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and expertise.

depends on how much $$ you want to spend. I got the Frankford Intellidropper. Works just find for the price. Not sure I can justify spending $350-500 on a scale.

All of my reloading equipment dates from the 1960s to 1980s, nothing digital, no batteries required, all manually operated. Everything keeps working just fine.

My scale is the Ohaus 10-10, purchased slightly used in original box with paperwork in about 1973 for about $25 as I recall. Truly a laboratory-grade instrument.

My powder measure is a Lachmiller, purchased about 1974 at a close-out sale 50% off retail price (my cost about $24 OTD).

All of my presses are single-stage RCBS and Lyman. Bought the first one used in 1973, still in use today. One of the others came in a box of reloading equipment from an estate sale, the other was given to me by a neighbor.

Only things that ever wore out or broke were a decapping punch (Lee) and a seating stem (RCBS), both replaced for free by the manufacturers.

There is no reason to pay the extra money for a big name scale like that. They are all made in China. Just find a similar one on Amazon or some place

I have one the Frankfords for quick checking But use my Dillon (RCBS) beam scale for more accurate weights

Frankford Arsenal DS-750 Electronic Powder Scale 750 Grain Capacity
