Hornady 9mm Makarov HP's

For those of you out there with Makarov's (9 x 18) who have been looking for factory self defense ammo, Midway USA currently has the Hornady, 95gr. XTP Jacketed Hollow Points in stock.

The reason I mention it here is because I think Hornady only manufactures this ammo as a "Seasonal Run."
I can't think of any other reason why it hasn't been available, at least where I've been lookin', for about 8 or 9 months now.

I don't know how long it will be around, I received my "In stock" email notification from Midway yesterday, 03/03/11.

cant wait for their new Mak load with the little red rubber thing in the hollow point I think its called FTX

I grabbed two boxes awhile ago. Ran one thru my CZ-82 , with no hiccups.

I guess I'll have to try some, but I've read a lot of reviews stating the Hornadys seem a bit underloaded, which would be expected of an ammo company concerned about hot ammo in older guns.

Thanks. I carry CorBon - bought some when they loaded for the Mak, but it's always good to have choices. I did try some Blazers that were loaded with Gold Dots and they were great.
