So my partner and I walk out of the side door yesterday after the show is over. I see a few people moving around in the parking lot. I ask another vendor what is happening, he says a man had a heart attack.
I may have not have all the facts correct, this is what I learned.
Man and his 30ish year old nephew at the show. Nephew purchases a handgun. Both walk to vehicle. Uncle sits behind the steering wheel. Nephew either in passenger seat, or standing outside of vehicle door. Loads handgun. Handgun goes off hitting uncle in the face killing him.
Promoter cancels Sundays show.
It was a sad day.

Use of the word "tragedy" is a misnomer. More accurately, it is criminal negligence. That firearm did not "go off". It was loaded, pointed, and the trigger pressed. That A-H violated rules 1, 2, 3 and arguably 4.

Alll I cna do is shake my head in great disappointment and to send a prayer to victims family. Im surprised it didnt make news here since im less than 150 miles away.
