While I'm fortunate enough to have multiple Smiths and USGI M1 carbines, these are four that are usually loaded and get the most range time. 1944 IBM and Underwood manufacture. 1978 10-8 and 1965 10-6 (w/ numbered grips).

Sweet examples of great firearms! I only have two Carbines. One Inland 1943, and one Standard Products Austrian Border Polizei Marked Lend lease! Both in excellent condition and no import marks. I have a few Model 10s alspo.

Boy did I need that.....

.....like a kick in the HEAD!:D Am I ever envious. You didn't fill in your geo location so we could drop by and see them.:)

I've about given up on a .30 carbine unless I happen to come across somebody needing to get rid of one.

dcopper (I'm unable to reply to your quote) - Yeah, the Bavarian/Austrian's from the CMP a number of years ago were awesome. Got an IBM with all early/original features, except for the safety.

rwsmith - Good luck with your carbine hunt. You'll find one. I've traded away all my duplicates / shooter carbines for guess what......Pre '80 Smith and Wesson revolvers of course!
