How about a 41 Magnum Show and Tell?

My M58 I picked it up at a local Pawn shop for 525.00. I just found out it was a N.C. HWY Patrol gun in 1966 only 120 shipped. Since I have found a case for her for 60.00 bucks.

wow....

Member asked for pics of one of my .41Mags. Since I couldn't figure out how to attach them to my original input, here they are. Love those .41 Mags. Keep shootin'

If the city had gotten them in the condition that yours is in, we would probably still see some of the seasoned (ranking) officers carrying those.....It looks great! If it should ever feel homesick, just let me know ;)

Thanks for the photos, I know there are more SAPD guns out there, but they all seem to have left the city :(

My transitional Model 57 shooter, it has the recessed cylinders but no pinned barrel. The grips are going to be replaced by a set of Ahrends, and it likes my old handloads at 25 yards. This is soon to be my all around carry gun when I work up some .41 Special handloads.

Here is one of mine a 657 PP I bought it to go with my 629 PP & 686 PP.

Nice piece! Would be a great addition to my collection as well! I just picked up a 629 PP and love it! Installed a JPoint Red dot just the other day...

Here is my meager offering to this thread, might I say... some of you gents have some truly amazing examples. A Model 57-1, I picked this up around new years in a trade, this gun and some bulk 9mm target ammunition for a Sig P226R. It had some funky finger groove grips that ididn't much care for, so i added some eagle classic's to it. I hope to one day aquire some circa 1985 target grips to throw on. Hope you guys enjoy.

Two S-prefix Model 57's - a six inch, and a 4" - both have very smooth DA triggers - my favorite N frames ! The six inch is currently wearing Herrett Jordan Troopers ...... The four inch has factory combats (I know, not correct, but very comfy) I refinished them with oil - much more to my liking than the factory lacquer. Both of these are shooters, and were puchased without the correct cokes ..........

Wow, you did fantastic. A modern auto for a classic revolver, I'd make that kind of trade any day of the week! Great looking, and I'll bet great shooting revolver!

I'll play!

I had a Taurus Model 415, a 2-1/2" ported snubnose .41 magnum but traded it away. I still had several boxes of ammo - couldn't see it go to waste. I posted this on the revolver thread but what the heck...

Do I even have to post the model #? The s/n is N543xx; any ideas about when it was made?

The Desert Eagle is huge and bulky, but very accurate. Recoil is a lot different than the revolvers, I guess with that massive slide coming back.

I've only shot it maybe a dozen times. Not that I don't like it, just don't shoot it much. It's one of the few in the picture that has been shot.

Well I finally went and got myself a Desert Eagle. I'm sorry I waited so long to get one, what a blast to shoot! :)

Zeroing in the scope at 50 meters. Some vertical stringing most likely do to inconsistent scope/eye alignment......

...and after snapping this picture I noticed the scope mount moved about .375 inch down the barrel from where it started.

I heard it on good authority that the recoil of the Night Guard is "tolerable", so when I came across a NIB Model 357 for $649, I snatched it up.
Cast 220gr SWC at ~1000fps are very comfortable shooting even with the Ahrends grips. 210gr JSP at ~1325fps are tolerable waaaaay
more so than a 158gr JHP 357 Magnum round in a M&P 340.

The Night Guard in my opinion is an excellent N frame carry package.

Grips are by Ahrends and leather is by Simply Rugged.

A bad picture...but my two.. a 57-1 and a 57. I am toying with the idea of getting rid of them. I would really like a Model 58 for a base to a custom revolver and another Model 25-? chambered in 45 Colt.

I'd consider that 4" blued gun any time you're ready to give it up :D !

Groo here
I have been looking for a 3in for ever ,,, Now I see why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking as someone that did not own a .41 mag a year ago.

They definately grow on you. I picked up the 657-2 cheap about four months ago and really like the round. I picked up the S series like new gun a couple of weeks later. And I just picked up the S series model 58 this last saturday at the Hillsville VA gunshow. This will be my new carry piece for a while.

A new Ruger and new photos of a couple others with new grips.

Limited production stainless steel Ruger Blackhawk Bisley with 5.5" barrel.
Box Elder Burl grips by Tim's Workshop.

I swapped out the original rubber grips with an old pair of Jay Scott N frame zebra wood grips that I reworked to fit the Taurus grip tang.
