How about a L-frame show and tell?

386 Mountain Lite .357 Mag. My daily carry gun, weighing in at about 20 ounces and packing seven shots, she is one hell of an L frame:

Here's my 686-6, sans lock and polished...

RADAR 1,

I tried sending you a PM, but I'm not sure it went through. I like the looks of your gun, and you have done a fantastic job polishing it. I had a similar 686-6 that I recently sold to purchase an older model, but I had also removed the internal lock on mine. I have a "plug" manufactured by Bullseye Smith and don't currently have any use for it...I was hoping to find a fantastic looking gun to put the plug in, and I think yours is the one. If you want it, I'll send it to you for free in the mail (consider it a Christmas gift to a new forum member). The only think I ask in return is that you post a photo of the gun with the plug installed...I think it will make the side of your gun even more beautiful.

If you are interested, just send me a PM with your name/address and I'll drop this in the mail to you. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks. And there are lots of videos, instructions, and resources here that can explain how easy it is to install.

Merry Christmas, B

Here is my 686-2 4 inch. This revolver replaced my -3 which I traded for a S&W 5903. I could not live without a L frame so I bought this 686-2.

How about one with the biggest bore Smith ever put on an L-frame:

686-2 5" barrel

This one started out as a 686-2 with an 8 3/8" barrel. Got it cheap from a gun shop in Alaska where it had led a hard life.
Picked up the barrel from Gun Parts Corp several years ago when they bought up all of S&Ws remaining 5 Inch barrels.
Replaced the barrel, a bit of Mother's Mag Polish and there she is! :D
