How about a Model 45

K-frame, fixed sights, .22LR caliber. Built for the USPS, apparently as a training gun for Postal Inspectors, etc. Also used by the Coast Guard and Boston PD, possibly others. Made from 1948-1978, SCSW says it was never cataloged. Unknown numbers but certainly a rare, valuable revolver!

Beautiful! Have wanted one for decades but, never been able to find a shooter.

Pretty high for something that won't feed your family?

Certainly not interested in 22 revolvers, but always kind of wondered why S&W never made an fixed sight, M&P or model 10 type gun in .22LR. Guess they did, but most of us never knew it.

It is my understanding they were built as a training weapon for the USPS and some for the USCG.
