LSU has a VERY off year this year-didn't even make the post season. That being said, I was VERY proud of the SEC and even more so to see an all SEC final. To be honest, I was pulling for Florida-but this was really a win win for me. Some GREAT baseball and a big shoutout to South Carolina. The SEC East were the bad boys this year-but wait till next year!!!!

I am live in Omaha and it was a good CWS this year. How did the new park look to you all?
The Gamecocks had a great two year run and Wingo's play through the Series but especially the last 2 games - that's the stuff that will be remembered! His eighth inning Monday -WOW.
Omaha has 2 favorite SEC teams now - sorry Tiger Fan.

Wingo was great,no doubt. And the pitching staff wasn't too shabby either. I've been watching Matty Price play since he was a sophomore in high school. He just keeps gettin' better! FWIW,he was a helluva third baseman and can CRUSH the ball. Twenty homers his senior year. Don't think he'll ever be called on to do anything but bunt from here on out.

BTW,I'm a Clemson grad. Bleed orange. But I am also a baseball fan and must give credit where credit is due.

As a Clemson fan, it really pains me to say this. But, they are the champs. They earned it. When Florida did not score when they had the bases loaded in the ninth inning of the first game, I knew it was destiny for the gamecocks.
