Local gun shop find today... a 1971 M30-1 3” in 32. I got it for $423.00 out the door no box and no goodies. I’m apparently collecting snubbies lately since that’s all I’m finding. But that’s ok because I’ll keep picking them up until I start finding longer barrel wheelies. Well here she is.

Thanks folks. I’m looking forward to some range time this weekend with the M30 and the M37 and M12 I found recently. All highly addictive.

Goddang it, if I found that I would have hurt myself trying to yank my wallet out of my pocket too fast.

That's a beautiful Model 30-1 armybass! Congratulations! You're in for a treat when you shoot it, I promise!

I have been on the lookout for a nice Model 30 for several years. So far, they have been hard to find!

I do have a couple of the square butt Model 31-1's though. A 3" and a 2". I really like them! They're incredibly accurate little guns!

Enjoy your new .32!

For that gun in that condition, I think you did quite well. :D
I have a Model 31 with a 3" barrel. Same gun with a square butt. I'm really fond of it. ;) As already mentioned, .32s can be very addictive. :D

I think you did just fine - classy revolver in great condition.

If I may : the photo you posted has good clarity and focus , but the subject (revolver) would display even better with a less visually cluttered background. (0.02)

.32’s have nothing going for them; other than light weight, fine accuracy, low recoil, and negligible report. They are as addictive as any drug. I think I am down to six now.

To these fine features, I will add the 32’s are easy and inexpensive to reload. They are also just fun to shoot. ColbyBruce is correct: I bet you can’t own just one!

Beautiful revolver at a very good price.

Very nice.

I think the 30 and 31 are underrated. They certainly are fun little shooters. I have a 31-1. I also reload for it. So far the only powder I've found satisfactory is IMR-7625 which is an old rifle powder IMR no longer makes. :( Fortunately I have a few lbs of it and a little powder goes a long way with that little guy.

These models will continue to increase in price as the 32 L is long gone from the mainstream market and S&W won't will be building anymore.

The one I have (3") I paid $500 for with box, tool and docs a few months ago. About 95% condition. I've put about 200 rds thru it already. I would be up for a 2" model for the same price but I doubt I will ever find one. The 2" models seem to bring more.

Yours was a very good price amigo.

Agreed - they are very addictive. If you count my 631, I only have 4. Wonderful to shoot, and reload for. To me it's kind of like shooting a 22 Short on steroids. Improved I frame - predecessor of the Model 30. Arkansas finish.

Arkansas finish?

What I call it. Unlike other states where there has always been plenty of money, and folks could afford to buy one, oil it, and put it back; in Arkansas they were bought to be used and shot, and often not oiled much. Most of what I see are in the same condition as the one I posted. Good lock up, good shooter, but not exactly "factory new" hence Arkansas finish.
