649ND or new 432UC AIWB or in a jacket pocket in the winter months. Not carried as often as larger semi auto's.

50 plus years carrying on the strong side OWB leather holster, DeSantis or Bianchi, thumb break. 442, may go even lighter with a 340 PD. Kind of hard to change now. Hawaiian shirt covers it this time of year. East coast cop standardized dress.

... Also, feel free to post your experience with regards to comfort and concealment and how long you have been carrying in your preferred method.

OWB, on-duty and off-duty, for 50 years as a Lawman.

For new carriers I highly recommend Professional Training like Thunder Mountain. They have a Defensive Revolver course I highly recommend for people who carry a revolver.

In the SE Texas heat and humidity it's easier for me to carry my 640 on my strong side cargo shorts pocket. Winter is different. I'll still mostly carry the 640 owb in a Simply Rugged pancake holster, or my 1st generation Shield chambered in .40 s&w in a Tucker&Byrd pancake.

My backup piece is a 642 in a soft Muddy River Tactical holster that I wear iwb on my weak side in the cross draw position.

95% of the time my EDC is a 640-1Pro; the only variable is the holster which I cycle between a Milt Sparks VMII, Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake or custom BamaBiker holster.

Other 5% is a Kimber Ultra Carry in a Milt Sparks VMII.

With advancing age, I rarely carry any of my K-frame snubs but, when I do, it’s in this custom Snubbyfan holster.

A simply rugged "pancake ' cross draw.
After I got initial bugs resolved on my UC
it is my favorite edc. It gets well protected
with this holster as am rancher and fencing
always is a constant hazard.

I carry almost exclusively in the appendix position.

Smith J, Colt D, or Kimber K6s or xs in a Lobo Gun Leather offset clip.

Also use the Forged Trc AIWB or PHLster City Special. The Lobo is my favorite.

Strong side pancake holster all my adult life. When on-duty, I started out using an ankle holster and then went to a vest holster I bought at a Street Survival Seminar. I have never found a more practical firearm than a S&W J Frame.

I carry appendix for the most part. 640 pro, 686 3" m66 4.25" and 629 4". The 640 goes in a enigma holster and the rest get JM custom aiwb rigs

Rarely do I carry a revolver anymore. Just too many M&P40 options. When I do carry a J-frame it’s in an IWB leather holster.
I would never carry any firearm in my pocket without being secured in a holster, and that just makes it too slow to deploy for me.
