I was just curious how many people own the M&P M2.0 Subcompact and how they like it.

So far I am really happy with it. I think it's concealable enough OWB with a flush mag and the size/weight allows me to shoot it faster than smaller pistols.

I did drop an Apex Fully Machined Sear that brought the trigger pull weight down to about 4 lbs. It also made the reset more audible and perhaps more tactile (not that it needed it in my opinion, but some like that). I think it's an excellent inexpensive upgrade unless you plan on replacing the trigger (because it will come with the improved sear).

I really like the orange Ameriglo square front sight. I have the same front sight on my Shield but it's round. The square shows up better for my eyes because there is more surface area for the paint (though I still love the Shield sight). I like the serrated blacked out rear sight as it eliminates glare to provide excellent contrast.

I think the plain old DeSantis OWB pancake holster works very well keeping it tight to the body. It makes it very concealable with the aggressive cant that you often see for larger guns.

I did notice something weird, not about the gun per se, but sometimes the super aggressive grip texture bothers my skin though most of the time it doesn't. I'm not sure why, but once in awhile it does, so I ordered a original M&P9c backstrap to see if it fits with its smoother texture. I guess I could just sand this one down, but I thought I'd see how it worked since it's only $6. I'll provide update once I receive it. It won't eliminate the contact of the entire side portion of the grip texture, but the backstrap is what protrudes from the frame and makes the most contact.

Anyway, let me know how you're enjoying your Subcompact if you have one.

I just picked up a 3.6 Compact in 9mm..
Came with Gun and 1 mag.. but couldn't beat it for the price.
Had to save it from someone else buying it and not loving it.
She was in a Pawn shop.. and I couldn't let it go.

So it's the 3.6" barreled compact w/ the 15 round mag.
I love it.. it's just small enough to conceal and not to heavy.
I never liked the sub compact's.. Sig 365, Hellcat.. coudn't shoot them worth a dam..

So this little gem is home w/ me now.. I cleaned her, and made her mine.
This will definately be my EDC gun.. leaving it stock.. as all my other m&p's are modified.

Mine is the 4” Compact (as opposed to the sub compact) I got a few years ago. It’s been great and I use it for LEOSA Qualification, scored 96% in June, same as the past couple of years. It’s about the same size as the Glock 23 I carried before retirement. S&W has Glock beat w/this gun.

I have a gen 1 M&P9C (2.0 sub compact is the improved version)
I've had it for 10 years. Love the gun. I shoot it well. Never saw what people had against the trigger. Was going to sell it when I got the Shield plus, but just couldn't. I shoot the Shield as well as I do the 9C and the Shield does carry a bit easier, but I guess I've owned it too long and have become attached. :o:cool:

I guess I’ve had mine for a little over 2 years and really like it. I don’t carry it on my person routinely but often take it when I’m traveling.

I’m amazed at how recoil is tamed pretty well in this gun. It’s never missed a beat no matter what ammo I feed it and it’s smazingly accurate for a gun with such a short sight base. Takedown is simple and quick and cleaning is simple. My only complaint is the slide is hard to rack with arthritic hands but that’s my fault that I have arthritis. But I solved the problem by installing a slide racket which makes it much easier to rack.

My wife started CC'n the m&p9c bck about 8 or 9 years ago . I did a apex striker block and a some connector stoning and polishing for a 4lb 3oz trigger pull my wife likes . She also has a core far closer to 3lb but its not a carry pistol . I carry a lw commander or full size m&p 40sw and have a 2.0 compact 4" OR & TS .

I shot my wifes m&p 9c but don't have much need to carry it .

I've been thinking/looking at the 9mm compact and I appreciate this thread. I am also interested in the M&P compact 45. I still have some work to do before I make my decision and purchase.

Very happy with my EDC 4" w/ Holosun 407cv2-gr 2 moa.

I wear a sleeveless undershirt due to the aggressive texture.

My one dislike? 15 rd Mags that are constructed of unobtainium and unicorn horns. SERIOUSLY....$40+ for a SINGLE magazine?!?!

Love the gun...now my EDC

I got the 2.0 Compact in as new-in-the box condition even though it was a used gun. Guessing the 1st owner was "pandemic induced" with all the riots and stuff going on. Anyway, evidently sold it to pawn shop and i grabbed it. Box code was shipped September 23, 2020.

My normal EDC for last 50 years plus has been always J-Frame 38 Special in S&W leather OWB. Several months ago I started practicing with this 2.0 Compact. Got decently consistent, and as added bonus..found that it fits perfectly in my SafariLand 578 Pro Fit Kydex GLS (Grip Lock System) retention style paddle holster that I had for my Glock 21 Gen 4 (45acp). The Glock measures 8" fore to aft, and the 2.0 measures 7" fore to aft, but the grip and trigger guard are positioned equal.

So now I like the gun..decent trigger for me, reliable through all practice sessions, and like the much greater round capacity. There were a couple mag extenders in the box that allow up to 17 rounds but I've not installed or used them.

Printing wise I really don't see or feel a lot of difference between the J-frame in leather, vs this gun in Kydex, and am not carrying 2 speed strips in pocket anymore.

I have the 4" Compact, not the 3.6 and had they been available when I purchased the Compact I would have gotten it instead. I put the Apex Flat faced trigger system in mine and it is the best striker fired trigger i have felt to date.

Mine is the old M&P9c very comparable to the new 3.6 gun. What I really is I can carry w/ 12,14,15, or17 rnd mags depending how I am dressing that day. The gun is very easy to conceal w/ the 12 so that w/ a 17 spare is a common setup for me.

Another here who owns the M2.0 Compact (4 inch) and it has proven to be a fantastic pistol. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the subcompact, but I already own an M2.0 Shield as well and rarely carry it as I strongly favor the M2.0 Compact for its size/capacity. I carried mostly issued SIG Sauer and Glock pistols for 20 years, and I like my M&P better than both.

I've got the M2.0 Sub Compact 15rd M&P. Absolutely love it, after finding a ton of 17rd mags at an estate sale along with those adapter things I've had many a great time at the range. Curiously, I find it sits in my hand almost un-naturally perfect, unlike the FN or Glock.
