took the grandkids to chatanooga, tn for three days and then a day in hunstville, al at the space and rocket museum. chatanooga has a world of things to do for all ages. my grandson is the original energizer bunny and my granddaughter(5.5) hung in there like a real trooper. i should have taken my tulsa gun show shoes. we did a riverboat dinner cruise(prime rib) and the kids got to go in the pilot house and sit with the captain. the tennessee aquarium is awesome, but they won't let you fish in there. then came lookout mountain, which includes rock city, ruby falls and the incline railway(steepest in the world). then on to huntsville to the space and rocket museum. can't miss it with a saturn V rocket sitting right off I-565. great museum for kids of all ages that have any interest in the history of U.S. rocket programs and space exploration. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES TO ALL THE ABOVE PLACES. lee

Sounds like big fun Lee. And I'm certain your grandkids will forever remember the time spent traveling with ya'll.

penny, i know they will. as soon as i get new hips, knees, and feet, i'll be ready to do it again. the best part was the hotel and tickets in chatanooga were paid for my the bank where my wife works. she won it with points they get every year for "stuff". didn't cost much to add the kids and the gas wasn't bad this year like it was last year this time. lee

There is something about taking the grandkids when their young that is hard to beat. Sounds like they wore you out.
