If there were approximately 7500 44 Magnum Hand Ejector four screw revolvers made, does anyone know how many were 4" barrels?

Thanks in advance.

To answer your question, each invoice from early 1957 to late 1958 would have to be examined to determine how many 44 Magnums with a 4-inch barrel were shipped and if they had a 4-screw frame based on the serial number (many invoices prior to 1958 did not list serial numbers). So, while the number of 4-inch 44 Magnums shipped can be determined, it would still be a guess as to how many have a 4-screw frame as both 5-screw and 4-screw guns were shipped in the first half of 1957. The process of looking at the invoices would also be very time consuming.

Thank you Doc, I was just hoping since the approximate number of five screw four inch 44 Magnum Hand Electors is known, there might be an estimate for the four screw pre numbered revolvers.

A wild guess at the number would be to take the number of 5-screw guns shipped in 1957 (517) and multiply that number by 3 or 4. The estimate would then be approximately 1500 to 2000 which is probably somewhere in the ballpark and twenty to twenty-seven percent of the total 4-screw guns produced without a model number. The 4-inch 44 Magnums were more readily available and popular as time progressed.
