How many firearms do you own that you have never shot?

Most of my long guns are unfired, but in the handgun department, strangely only my J frame 22s,two 34s and a 63, are unfired.

I was looking in my safe the other day and realized that I had at least a half a dozen firearms that I have never fired since I bought them. And it is only because I just have not had the time. What is your reason?

As someone who is fortunate to be able to shoot from his back porch, I have no excuse for owning unfired guns. So I don't. ;)

I'm like Frailer. I have too many opportunities to shoot. I have a fairly large collection and all are shot at my whim.

Me 3 can shoot from my back porch, but I do have one a 617 that I just got on Thursday it will be shot tomorrow hopefully. I buy guns to shoot them.

Currently I own one gun that has not been fired. It is a 29-2, blue with a 6 inch barrel. I have all the goodies that go with it, presentation case, tools, brochures, etc... I don't have a reason for not firing it, just haven't got around to it yet. Have owned it for 3+ years. I have a 44 special or two and a 8 3/8ths 29-3 that I fire regularly. That may be the reason for not being pressed on firing it. As others have said, it is subject to being fired at any time.

I have only one. A model 63 that I have only had a couple of days. I too can shoot from my back porch so it won't be long before it will be zero unfired.

UPDATE***The model 63 has now been shot****

About 3/4 the guns I have have not been shot by me but others. My gun accumulation is mostly for release of a stressful day. I open the safe pull a couple out point them work the action and put them back. None of them are unfired just not fired by me rifles pistolsand shotguns alike. One day when the notion hits me I may change that. Until then safe tramps and queens have a place to stay. Doeboy

Nothing wrong with spending your expendable income how you wish, but I'd rather spend mine on stuff I will use than stuff to stow away.

I do have some I shoot more than others but they all get shot at least now and again.

I only have three. A Colt Police Positive made in 1916, a Browning Hi-Power T series 1967, and a H&K P9S made in 1971. I've got plenty of other shooters, just going to keep these as safe queens.

Way too many  I have every intention to shoot them all but a lot of them are old military firearms from the spanish american war through WWII . Though I do have quite a few S&W 's and a few Colts that need to be shot now that I'm laid off I might find the time.;)

I have around 20+ pieces but only 3 w/zero trigger time..

A Winchester 1897 16ga break-down shotgun from 1941. Still nice and tight.

A Winchester 870 (steel) in 20ga

My grandfathers 12ga single shot.

Hmmmm seems to be a pattern (no pun) - all shot guns.

At last count probably 2 dozen or more, some rare old S&W's NIB and some long arms that I put together then put away. Like others, time is the constraint. I've got a Ruger #1 Varmint barrel in .22-250 that I built up in in '95 put in the safe and have never fired, bunches more like that. It seems to be a recurring theme, buy, build and look for the next one.
When I pass on someone is going to have the best day in thier life going thru the safes, there's more stuff in there than I care to admit.
It's not a hobby anymore, it's a sickness.

Zero. I won't own a gun I won't shoot. I've got a few that don't get shot very often, but I do shoot them. I've even passed on some that I could have gotten because they were just too nice to shoot.

Make mine zero, zip, nada, none. What's the point of owning a revolver (or rifle) you can't/won't shoot? When I get to the point of where I no longer enjoy blasting away with a firearm, like I did with my .454 Casull SRH, #1H in .458 Lott, and SP-101/SSM in .32 H&RM, I get rid of them. Heck, I got rid of all of my Rugers - and most of my long guns - cut back to just S&W round guns - and a few .22 rifles. I still have my 1895 Nagants, but that's another story - and they get shot, too.

Hi:
Several months ago medical issues began to "Win" the fight that started several years ago. I knew that most of my weapons had to be sacrificed to continue the "Battle". Cleaning out the closet I discovered firearms that I purchased in the past and never used/fired. Most are gone now except for a very few that will be gone soon. The moral is if you have them, shoot them while you can The future might not come.
