Me

Retired, served 30 years, U.S. Treasury Dept. Special Agent and senior firearms instructor. Includes two years in Military Police.

CT State Trooper for 10 years, then another 20 with a federal LE agency. Spent a couple years as a firearms instructor at the FLETC in GA. Volunteered as an EMT for the local ambulance when I lived in CT.

Retired in 2009.

Years in law enforcement.

I have over 39 years in law enforcement with 3 agencies. My last year of college I had a job driving a police car around on the midnight shift. When I graduated I took a job with a larger town and worked patrol, crime prevention, then as a Detective for almost 25 years. I was also a range master for many years. I retired there after 34 1/2 years of service. Then I worked for the state investigating horse racing violations for 4 years. For 25 of those years I operated a small gun and police supply business. In those days revolvers were the LE gun and I was decent at repairing S & W revolvers. I still enjoy shooting and the S & W forum.

Completed 29 years this week with the Toronto Police Service (it'll always be the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force to me!), with one year left to go.

Usual mix of patrol and investigative spots, with an extended stint in forensics. Finishing up as a sergeant in traffic.

Planning on splitting my year with half in my new digs outside Phoenix, and half at the lake up north. Good times. :)

34 years, 5 months, 11 days with Boston EMS. (But who's counting?) Started as an EMT-Dispatcher, retired as a paramedic. A great ride, but it was time to go, so I retired in late 2012. Now I do some teaching and some QI reviews for ambulance reports.

Retired firefighter and EMT, with over 20 years as Department Chief. Like ladder13, I hated the EMT part of it, especially the brutal accidents. Currently help out the local volunteer FD when they need someone to mind the station. After all these years I still sleep light at night.
