How many Moon Clips is too many

Just as a heads-up. The clips (45acp) from Revolver Supply have worked with every brand of ammo I've used (at least 10 different makers). They are very high quality steel. They are priced @ $13.80/10. TK Custom prices theirs at $12.95/5. Just sayin'.

I buy from Ranch Supply in Malinta Ohio. Way back when, they were approached by S&W who supplied the drawings for the modern moon clip. They built the originals and are still building them. More economical than the others.

For my 325 and my 1917 I got..120 or so. They make it so darn easy to send 200 rounds or so downrange. I prefer to load/unload them in the comfort of my home rather than at the range.

For my 327 and my 627 I've only got 25 or so. I'm working on another 20 or so, but they're a heap more expensive and the 8 shot moon clips tend to get me alot farther than the .45 ACP 6 rounders.

If I'm dressed for business, I keep three on my person, and of course one in the revolver.

For me, it’s ~100. This enables me to have enough loaded to run back to back IDPA matches w/o having to moon, demoon rounds for a match.
