i was just shooting in a snowstorm last week, actually had to keep diggin the snow out of the scopes bell--rain ,snow ,mud, dirt ,dust my guns see it all,i enjoy winter shooting as well as warm weather--i mean thats why they make cleaning tools and supplies right?

i agree but i got a text from a friend just a lil while ago asking what i was doing,,, i replied thinning out some crows why,,, he replied wow u got that nice rifle out in the rain,,, i replied well its not going to melt

what i am getting at is i know a lot of people who treat there firearms like there made of glass and act like water and dirt will turn it to mud:rolleyes:

I live in FL. After a good day of shooting, I oil my guns up and lay them in the lawn chair next to me. We catch some rays, sip little umbrella drinks and call it a day. ;)

do u ever find your self out in the Lumberton/Beaumont area, if so its always fun to have a coyote hunting partner

I travel thru there every couple of weeks, may have to catch up with ya sometime.

sounds like a plan,,,, seems every one i know just wants to shoot my firearms and ammo but never get any of there own,,, it will be a nice change

Every time I go shooting outside I expose my firearms to the elements. :)

Seriously, I never let a little rain or snow bother me if I want to go shooting.

Rain or shine, show or hail, it don't matter, if I want to shoot, I go, I take, I shoot, I better get in now, it's cold outside, boy is it cold...

I've done it in all types of weather, my weapons get cleaned and dried before putting them away so it doesn't matter.. thanks.

@ nathan I agree about people treating these like they were made out of glass. I take mine out in all kinds of weather. I just make sure that I clean it when I'm done. I've got 10,000 rds through mine and it's still awsome to shoot.

Only when I'm hunting.

I'm there, weather is not stopping me from hunting.
Going to the range, I'll shoot from under the canopy if it's raining or snowing.
Thunderstorm, I'm not holding a lightning rod while that's goin on.
Dry them out good when you back, oil, etc.

i do not take ours out into the nasty weather...

only because i do not go out in the nasty weather any more...
when you retire you can pick your days... as long as SWMBO is still working ;-)

Mine are weapons. They are meant to function in all types of weather with me. Snow, rain, heat, or walking up & down cold & wet leaf covered hillsides - with me. If I am going out in rough weather, so are they. They take care of me and I take care of them. Just like family.

.22 actually works on coyote? They get pretty big here in Michigan.

believe it or not the .22lr is pretty deadly when the shooter/rifle combo is accurate, just like deer hunting with a .223 shot placement is key.

.22lr can and will drop deer, hog, and many other large animals.
younger and stupid i got in some trouble for killing a deer with a .22lr not knowing it was illegal. the 8 point dropped right in its tracks with a well placed head shot. i have also killed several hogs with .22lr and one gator.

.22lr has also been used in many murders as well so it can be fatal to people as well and many military's have used .22lr

most people don't fully grasp that the .22lr from a rifle isnt just some over sized pellet gun,,, its a deadly weapon and will kill just about any thing u put in front of it.

now from a pistol its not to bad but just this year and elderly woman killed a home intruder with a .22lr pistol so even that can be deadly
