How Many Start w/15-22 Then Buy M&P 15?

I started with a brass frame 1851 Navy I didn't even realize I could shoot when I bought it. It all snowballed from there.....

Yo!

That's exactly what I am doing. Bought a 15-22 a month ago and love it.
Just order a 811036 off GB for $679 shipped.

I had started researching MSR's back in November and didn't act quick enough after Sandy Hook. Prices went crazy and I just set it aside.
I noticed a "Less than $700 AR" post on slickguns and had narrowed it down to a Windham or the M&P. M&P won out because of:
- had the 15-22
-found it in-stock on GB
-great reviews
-used to live in Springfield, MA.

So there ya go.
can't wait for it to arrive!

So this is a good price too then ?

My 15-22 purchase came to fill my shooting needs without using large amounts of my 5.56 reserve...I have a bunch of AR's but found the 15-22 to be about as much fun as one can have without the required "I Do" and having to share your ammo with a spouse. I shoot it in my basement "range" when the snow is deep which is another plus as I would never shoot an AR down there. I also have a DPMS in .22 LR which is as close to an AR as one can get, but not the shooting fun of my S&W m&P 15-22!

2 AR15-22s and owning them was part of the equation on getting/building an AR. The other part was a bunch of Ergo AR stuff I got off the prize table after finishing 23th at the 2011 Ruger Rimfire World Championship. Ended up building a custom Stag 3G for 3 gun. Since then I have built one more AR and in the process of building 2 more. You can never have too many.

I started with the M&P15OR. Got tired of spending money on ammo and went and got the 15-22.

Well, yeah. Who has them at that price?

Sorry I was gone for the 4th.
It's a gun shop & range I use , they will ship , but , anyway they have a F B page it's call ' shots fired in door range ' .
Someone may as well get one I can't right now.

I started the other way around. Had my ARs and realized how expensive it was to feed out, especially in the most recent gun-scare. Picked up a 15-22 from a recommendation from a friend. Loads of fun!

15-22 is great for sure but when it comes to the real
AR I'm going with COLT! Pete

Just looked on their FB page, this was July 6.

After playing with the M&P 15-22 for a while, I had gotten the itch to buy an M&P 15T real bad. Looking around locally best price on new ones is $1069.

Found a used one today, test drove it and decided to take it home to live with my 15-22. The "T" was made prior to the "cost engineering" improvement in 2010 or 2011. It has Troy Battle Sights, Troy Free Floating Quad Rail, Rail Covers, MagPul Pistol Grip, CTR Butt Stock, MagPul Vertical Grip, Chrome Barrel - Chamber - etc, a trigger that has at least been introduced to a stone, Springs and 3 magazines. Rifle looks like a "safe queen" with no marks, scratches or rubs and squeaky clean, even inside the bolt and bolt carrier.

After a little friendly discussion and stacking hundreds on the counter we agreed on $875 pre-tax. I am real happy.

The 15-22 has acted a little jealous and growled a little but when placed next to each other they are hard to tell apart. The 15-22 has a CTR, MBUS, etc also.

Looking forward to twisting the tail of this rifle over the weekend and the 15-22 also of course.

Actually i did all my AR styles in reverse sort of. I went with the 5.56 then went with .300 blackout and then went to the 15-22. So it was an up and down roller coaster ride for me.

The 15-22 wins for the fun factor. The .300 Blackout is just hands down my favorite of all the AR's. As for the 5.56, I hate getting laughed at when i go to the range and everyone says their GF shoots a 5.56

GM4SPD, 1/7 hell yeah thats where its at.
