How many times a week/month/year do you really go to range?

I average twice a month to my local range (30 miles away).
Wish I could go more - just trying to make time is a challenge.
Sometimes during the winter months I go 3 or 4 times a month. I like it more because it's just usually me and the hunters sighting in rifles and shotguns.

I go out back on my property and shoot 3 to 4 times a week, some times more. I reload for every caliber I own except 22 rimfire.
I used indoor ranges for training for almost 30 years as a cop and said when I retire, I want my own place in the country where I can shoot and hunt.

I went twice this week. Once last week. Texas summers aren't friendly for the outdoor range though. Lol. When it's not 95+ I'm usually there at least once a week.

Twice a week to the indoor range one night for BE league and another for BE league practice.

Well!

A little out behind the house once in a while. I belong to two gun clubs. A 100 yard range it's only 6 miles from the house. Another range out to 500 yards 15 miles from the house.

The question was? Oh yeah about 5 range trips a month and 15 to 25 rounds a week at the house. I shoot rifles mostly on the range trips but I shoot at least 15 rounds out of the carry gun each trip.

Being retired is great! My current love affair is with a M&P 15 and a M-1 Garand made in 1942. But then there are the 1911's , 629's ,686's and 22's pistols and rifles. Life is good!

It's a half hour drive out to the Ft Bliss Rod and Gun Club. I make it an average of once a week. Sometimes two or three times a week which makes up for the weeks I don't go out because it's too hot. Normally it's uncomfortably hot by 10 AM this time of year. I shoot a wide variety of rifles and pistols, but no shotguns; I can't hit anything with a shotgun.

It all depends on the month. Some are busier than others.

Pistol = Average about every two to three weeks.

Rifle = Average once a month. (most occurring during the summer)

I have been four or five times this year, no more. I would love to shoot more often, but the ammo and range fees would break me. A senior citizens' discount for ammo would help. So would cheap and plentiful .22lr.

Since I joined the new indoor range that opened recently I'm going 2 - 3 times a week. No additional range fees with the annual membership and they keep the A/C cranked way down - a real nice place to shoot in the summers here in Florida. I also belong to another range about 45 mins away that is outdoor and offers the opportunity to shoot rifles to 100 yrds plus trap, skeet & sporting clays. That gets used more in the cooler months - heat and skeeters are pretty bad otherwise.

Having a range out the back door - now that would be heaven. I'm jealous of you guys that can just walk outside and shoot. Maybe someday.....

I am waaaaaaaay behind the curve here.

Ideally I would go once or twice a week and there have been times when I've done that, but not in the last few years.

Reality: I've made it to the range 4 times this year, the last time in May. I had planned to go this month before my schedule got really busy but my little 642's hammer pin broke and is now in the hands of S&W. Depending on when (if?) S&W sends me a new 642 I might be able to squeeze in one or two more range trips before the end of the year.

At least twice a week. But then I am retired and is easier to get there. Trap on Sundays Which I hope to improve on.

I am definitely jealous of the guys who can shoot on their own property. Owning my home in the middle of a small town might be a problem for me to do that. I do have steel targets set up (for our pellet guns) in our fenced in the backyard, for when I can't get to the range. I do dream of the day in 30 plus yrs when, I can retire and move to the country and have my own small range.

Some weeks I go every day and some not at all but probably average three days a week. It's nice this time of year. Winter can be tough. Temp gets down below zero it makes for a short trip. Buying new guns in winter makes the trips necessary.

I average one trip a week to the club. Some weeks I go twice, some I skip. During summer I only go early due to the heat. We are allowed to shoot from sunrise to sunset. I usually arrive a few minutes before sunrise during summer to get everything ready. Cooler months I like to shoot in the afternoons.

I average once a month. Usually around 200 rounds between 2 pistols. And/or 150 or so rounds with the AR's and Mini-14. At $80-$90 worth of ammo and range fees, I can't afford to go every week.

Try to get to the range every weekend. I'm off work most Fridays and range is nearly empty.
Only problem is I choose an outdoor range 25 miles away and it not easy to get there more often.
There are indoor and outdoor ranges closer but this one suits me best.
Airgun, archery, trap, skeet, 5 station shotgun, handgun and rifle.

Every Saturday morning. I'll even go if there's a light rain, or snow. Spoze to rain this weekend, so I'll be reloading.

I pay my dues every year, been 3 years since last trip. Shoot
almost daily, I live in the sticks. My brother and me have pistol
range in his yard. Have all kind of steel targets and frames for
bulls eye shooting. We can shoot 70yds into side of hill. Both us
belong to same club, he goes often to shoot trap. Club also has
rifle and pistol ranges. Our next target project is to build gallery
type out of old garage door opener.
