Not enough, because my go to indoor range is closed on weekends. Once a month for work, maybe another ten times a year if I'm lucky. Retirement starts Tuesday morning, so hoping for better.
Not anywhere as often as I would Like I would guess I go somewhere around 10 times a year,We have 2 or 3 Indoor ranges & I don't care much for indoor ranges & it's 90 Miles or so to the Free National Forest Range,We do have a Local Outdoor range but I haven't been in years I have heard that the Range Officers are very hard to deal with,Before My Hunting Club lost the Lease we had a nice covered outdoor range up to 100 yards & I would go several times a month when it was not Hunting Season.
At least one day a week. I reload so I can shoot a lot more than if I was having to buy factory. Normally I will take 2 9mms, 2 45 acp's a 38 special and sometimes it's just a 22lr day. Senior rate at the outdoor range is $ 50.00 a year, unlimited use. Nothing fancy but some pretty good shooters and some of the county's best liars!! Makes an interesting day.
Usually twice a week, more often in the winter, since I shoot in the bullseye indoor winter league matches, once a month from Nov. - March I also ran our winter indoor smallbore rifle matches, I'll be at the range for the whole weekend but don't do any shooting.
Can't go more then 3 times a week, spousal unit will start to complain.
I own my own range which is on my land 5 min. from the house. Shoot 3/4 times a week Jan-March. Turkey season till may 1st.. Shoot 3/4 times a week till deer season Aug.15th-Jan 1st. Repeat cycle. I have some .22 spinners & targets just off the back yard that get shot regularly off the back deck. Have to sweep the brass up or Mrs. SC Hunter fusses about stepping on them.
We went today. Shot my employee's Beretta 92FS and it felt very similar to my 9MM 5906. Shot the 5906 much better today than ever so it's not FOR SALE.
Also shot the 29 Classic 8 3/8" and finally got her dialed in. Have had it since new w/box & papers and today was about 600 rounds total + - . After sighting in...
The employee said "WOW I gotta get a revolver; what would you get." I said "Seriously? "A S&W 686 6" SS." Like he's been told 232 time before. He asked "what's your home defense gun" , I said son it's the 686-3 6" ".
Ya gotta take the young fellas to the range so they know an auto isn't the only option...
I re-qualify for CHL every two years, so the week before re-qualification I go to the range to be sure my guns still work. Then, the following week, I qualify, get my new license, clean the guns and put them away for two years.
A small group of us old guys stumble up to Bud's (Sevierville) indoor range, where it's air conditioned, every Thursday. In addition, if I'm testing some pistol load, I may sneak out into the back yard.
In the beginning it was work, reload all week, shoot Sat. Sun. Then it became shoot Mon night, we'd night, frinite Sat, sun. Reload Tue, thurs.
Then the family came.
