Does anybody have a ball park number on how many 586 L-Comps with out the lock were sold?

I would love to get my hands on one, but when I did see one for sale I was a day late and a dollar short. Now that I have the money I just need to know my chances, which I know are low.

PM sent. IIRC there were less than 300 made. 586-5 version - pre lock.

There were also a handful of lock free 6-shot, 586-7, 3 inch L-comp barrel guns made. I've only seen two.

Very nice revolver. The first blue seven shot revolver made by S&W. I wouldn't part with mine. Too bad S&W won't wake up and produce another run of lock free L-comps.

Good luck with your search! :) Regards 18DAI

Thanks for the info, as far as your comment it's too bad S&W won't wake up and produce all revolvers lock free. Not every one of their customers lives in states that require "feel-good but no results" pc gadgets on their guns.
