When (if ever) can I expect prices to drop on the 1.0 9c? There’s one at an LGS, but he’s asking pretty much its original price. What do you all think is a fair retail price given that 2.0s can be bought for 400-450?

Got a used full size 1st Gen M&P 9mm last year..... anib for $300.

Store figured it would sit with new 2.0s in the next case...... unless it sold cheap. My guess the guy got $250 on trade.

I paid just over $500 for my 9c in 2011 but I wouldn’t expect to get a dime over $300 if I sold it now.

CDNN has the 40c with night sights for $300 brand new... Buy that and a conversion barrel and you’ll still be way ahead compared to the LGS

New? I'd expect to pay the same price as a new 2.0 version, around $400, relatively speaking. Please note that a New 2.0, in any size, is not the size you want. If it is new, and what you want, the fact it isn't a 2.0 should have no basis, in my opinion, on the value to you.

We all seem to assume since it is a version 1.0, that an M&P 9c or 40c should, for that reason alone, be discounted. Don't forego that which you want based upon faulty assumptions or reasoning. Having said all of that, you can find pretty good deals on used ones.

Last week CDNN had them for $299 and there's a SW $50 rebate.

If I get my 2.0 back from Smith, and it’s good to go, I’ll consider another 2.0. If not, it’s the 1.0.

I trust that you will be quite happy with it. Especially after the trigger job, and nite sites. Bet you'll find that is the general consensuses as well... It is a great firearm, regardless!

I just got mine, in great condition with 2 mags shipped for $250.00. It was on Gunbroker and they had a bunch more. Starting price was $250.00 and they did not have any bids.

Used 1.0? I'd pay no more than $300-$350 depending on sights and condition... I paid $325 for LNIB at the local Fin Feather Fur 2-3 years ago... Saw a 40 there today for $300

The 9c's are a little different from most gen1 (originals) vs 2.0 versions, because they aren't the same size and don't hold the same number of rounds. I'm surprised they didn't call the 9c 2.0 a different name.

I actually like the original 9c better because of its unique, slightly smaller size, but I'm a female with small hands. I bought one when the 9c 2.0 came out because I was afraid they would discontinue production of the original size/version 9c, and I knew I liked shooting that one.

Around here new original version 9c's are still almost the same price as new 9c 2.0's. I don't know about used prices, though.

I wonder how long S&W will continue to produce the original, smaller version, if they still do now. Anyone know? I would sort of hate to see them go.

A shop nearby has one, and I’m thinking of asking if I can get it for $400 out the door. I never had any problems with the ones I had before.
My 2.0 came back from Smith still without a tactile or audible reset. I really don’t care about that, but what I do care about is that they used the improved reset as a selling point for the gun, so it should actually have one. I’ll probably get a 1.0 or a revolver next.

Just picked my MP9c from GAG for $352 shipped, added a crimson trace grip to it, very nice in the hand, and a great shooter!
