How much $$$ invested in your 15-22

I'm adding up the cost and looks like I will be at $1400. MOE, geissele trigger, metal charge handle and a silencerco sparrow can. $$$ for a composite gun lol. Add some dura coat, red dot mags and ammo and wow it all adds up quick.

I got mine lightly used from a friend.. paid $325... $26 for weaver brand extra high rings, and $20 for harris bipod adaptor.. im at 371.. sold the barska holographic red dot so drops to $331 ;)

Already put close to 2k rounds threw it, invested will go up as i plan on adding a utg tactical light, a lazer sight, angled front grip addition and a moe? Butt stock
 
If I could leave out the can, geissele and find the MOE for a good price it wouldn't be so bad. I just almost feel bad for having so much in a polymer .22lr haha.
 
i started with the MOE version. then, before it arrived in the mail, i picked up 3 extra 25-round magazines, a folding bipod foregrip & a case (not to mention a few thousand rounds of ammo).

the fun my wife & i are having at the range: priceless.
 
$369 For the gun with flash hider + free Red Dot thrown in,4 extra magazines @ $15.99 ea That's it & have no plans for anything else I am perfectly happy with it as is.

The thing is most of those components would have cost tripple, if not more, on a center fire AR.

When you are looking at $600 for an Aimpoint H-1 and a La Rue mount, $700 for a DBAL Civilian legal IR laser, same price components for the Magpul gear, $60 for a decent AR charging handle..... it adds up even faster.

I'm just trying to make myself feel better about it. Haha I'm glad there are people out there putting a bunch of $$$ into this gun like myself.
 
I don't even have mine yet and I'm already another $250 into it. :) I'm still waiting for the thing to get imported to the country :)

in about 2 months, ive almost doubled the $500 i initally spent to get my green 15-22. adding it up quickly in my head, i know im over $400 not counting ammo of course.

should have gotten the MOE version. Could saved a lil cash to buy more toys. Jus sayin.;)
 
I noticed no one had listed a Slide Fire Stock & Timeny 3# drop in trigger. Thats another $550.oo plus mo-ammo !! But worth every penny of it for me.
 
I keep track of all my hobby purchases on my computer.

So far I've spent $893.24 on my 15-22 including the rifle itself.

If I subtract the stock stuff I've sold as well as some other items I had laying around to fund the upgrades, my 15-22 comes out to $689.74. Note that this total also includes the barrel nut wrench and barrel vise jaws from Tacticool22.

All in all I don't think it was too much because it's setup exactly how I want it: a trainer for full size AR15 with the same exact look and feel.

About $475 OTD, plus $100 or so for a Bushnell RDS and risers, $15 for a front sling swivel and sling. That's it, $590.

Less is more.
 
Well at least I didn't buy the bottle opener for it yet....:rolleyes:

Most of my purchases were for that cosmetic "make it my own look"
and other than the bottle opener I'm finally done…:eek:
 
Depends on the configuration, but last time it was around $1800 I think, but thats still.less then half of my regular AR.
