Hello everyone, I stopped by the gun shop today and looked at a really nice 15-4 with a 4" bbl, no wear at all on the bluing, and original grips, like i said a really good looking gun,no box or papers though, priced it to me for $400 out the door, reasonable?
They had a model 19 with I think a 4" bbl. looked to be in as good a shape as the 15 for the same price. Not sure if there was a dash on the 19, I didn't handle it.

I would rather buy it for $350-$375, but if I wanted it, I wouldn't let $25.00 stop me. They don't make 'em like that anymore, & the "Classic" is about twice that. Buy it. I admit to having an affinity to Combat Masterpieces, both blue & stainless, though, so I may be biased.

little high, but like was said I wouldn't let it stop me from getting what I want

I would get the 19 first. The price is ok. On the 15 I think 350.

IMHO Paul

Yeah, the 19 would be a great companion to my 19-3 with 6" bbl.

Wish I could afford both!

I think $400 is a good price for either gun if in really good condition with a nod going to the M19 for being 357.
Buy one and put one on lay-away.

I got my M15 last year for $375 the guy was asking $400. I know it's not a 357 but there is something about the 15's I just love.

That is not a crazy price for a gun that has never been in a holster and appears like new. On the other hand, it is all it's worth so if you ever decided to sell it you might not break even. Good ones get a little harder to find every day but you don't want to get upside down on something. A lot of guns are sitting lately.

15-4 ?

I think the price is fine, however I really like my Model 19's to be p&r
and I believe that ended in the -3's but I am not sure.
I would actually be a ok with that price on a Model 15 though too.
I believe I may see more 19's in decent shape then I do Model 15's.
I know when I was a younger man , I would never have wanted a 38 Special any bigger then a j-frame.
But, I am not that younger man any more, and I shoot a lot more 38 special then I do 357 mag.
In fact my new kick is shooting my 357 magnums with a hopped up plated wadcutter reload.
About 1100 fps, and I get great holes in my targets , indicating no tumbling
which I had been concerned about.
Sorry if I got off track here. I would have probably bought both if they were as nice as you say !!!

That's a thought bamabiker, I'm going to to try getting the price a little lower so maybe if I get both they will work with me.
